know they're different races, but l've learn some hawaiians are descended of Africans & Hispanics (<-- click the links). & these 2 characters are both witty and optimistic, smart, strong-willed, practically fearless, be trying to take care of people they loves & have hearts of a leader.

Yes moana took place in prehistory, the creator's said wish is supposed to be first fairytale: the origin of the wishing star. So what if wish took place in in biblical times? After all, Jewish history began about 4,000 years ago while Moana is set about 2,000 years ago.

Likewise, Moana is getting a series that will once again take her on adventures beyond the reef. Walt Disney Animation head Jennifer Lee noted the studio will be turning to talent from the Pacific Islands while creating the series, which is coming in 2023.
